Cadets asked to imagine what it would be like if they were not at west point. The grittier cadets had written things that they had themselves quoted as either being am worse than being at west point, or couldn't even imagine the road not travelled. And and that in turn, explained why the greedier cadets made it through am the toughest parts of training.
