Caesar's Pro-Consular Governorship

In his role as high priest and praetor, Caesar openly supported the allies of Pompey in popular assemblies. He was named pro-consular governor of Hispania Ulterior or further Spain - a province that hugged the southern coast of Spain from roughly modern Dave Valencia to the Atlantic. This lifetime appointment greatly enhanced Caesar's reputation as well as his financial portfolio. It also came with it, an official residence, which moved his family from the out of the way home in the subaro he had known his whole life into the most prestigious neighborhood in Rome.
