In our game, death is a big deal. If there was magical healing, it would cheap. In those moments, even if you had some explanation for why it couldn't work on your severed arm, it would feel bad. We wanted to encourage blayers to play through maiming and death. And we did a lot of work on making sure that that wasn't too punishing. But yes, a, it's a big designed goal for us.
