Is There a Boomerang Affair in the Global Economy?
The imperial boomerang is a term used to describe the way in which military and policing tactics that are used in the empire find their way back to the imperial corps. It can also be used to describe, say, eunoosy or neo-colonial economic policy. The imposition of particular sets of anorms and rules and conditionalities associated with lending end up undermining social safety net for working class people around the world.
