The Problem With Not Having a Christian Party
We just don't have a tradition of Christian democratic politics. I think if you tried to start one and it was really thoughtful and well put together and drew on the traditions that you have in the Netherlands. So for a lot of people here the thing that they need to get over is the idea that somehow Christianity only fits within politics as a theocratic power. A lot of people just they don't have that category of thinking Christianity is a democratic participant, he says.
