In the mid nineties before will and grace, only a qart of americans were in favour of gay marriage. By the time the show was over, the percentage of those in favor of gay marriage had doubled. The idea that gay people are normal and that we shouldn't be afraid of them starts to spread. I think william grace probably did more to educate the American public than almost anything anybody's ever done so far.
