The Military Might of the Moria
The military might of the Moria was reported by the Greco-Roman authors as being skilled and quite large. Evidence suggests that Chandragupta used auxiliary forces drawn from the territories around him, including Macedonians, Bactrians, and horse archers. During Ashoka's conversion post-Kalinga conquest, the Moria realm stopped expanding outright out of professed moral concerns regarding their Buddhist ideology.
