When you talk about the history buffer, are you talking about the word count that you can input into the actual search bar that chat GPT gives you? Yeah, input plus output. So if you have like more than what GPT 3.5 can remember, so let's say you have 10,000 words of text, it just looks at a sliding window of the last 4000 and then we'll generate one more word. If you're wanting it to generate a 2000 word essay, by the time you've got to the end of those 2000 words, it no longer remembers the context of what you asked it. It gets lost.
