The Meaning of Atonement in the New Testament

The word atonement only appears one time in the entire New Testament. It was coined by William Tyndale, who translated Cata-lage into atonement. In most other places it's translated as reconciliation or to be reconciled. The idea is that Adam and Eve were walking and talking with God when they fell out of Eden.
