The geo-heniocentric system was Tiko's way of dealing with both the petroleumic system and the Capernaum system. It was based on his observations of the supernova or the new star in 1572 and the 1577 comet which convinced him that the petroleumal system as such could not stand. The reason why he ended up with this system has generally been assumed to be the underestimating of the distances to the stars but it also fitted to kind of the biblical system so to speak.
