How to Negotiate Goals and Objectives for Your Learners
The intern and the student are aligned in what they want to learn. The next thing is to understand, what do you know? Right? So what do you bring to the table? What are you good at? If I say I'm interested in teaching cardiology and you say you're interested in learning, tell me why. And so it's great that we're going to teach a skill. We now need to figure out how were you going to teach that. There's different ways of teaching skills as opposed to teaching knowledge. Teaching bird calls is a fantastic way to learn how to teach cardiology.
