There are signs of divisions within the upper ranks. Many of the regime's still works with strong ties to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. I think they would like to see a use of politics as well as security in handling the protests. But if you listen to the Supreme Leader, to Alejhammani himself, he's really not giving any sign of this at all.
