Is There a Trend to Release More Often?

I feel there is a tendency to have less and smaller releases more often. I think initially it's like we have one to two times a month. And then after some time, it's like what maybe one every couple months or something depends on which vulnerability gets found in iOS this week. It's a trend, which is observable throughout the industry. The whole idea about having this feedback looks as short as possible, it's everywhere.
