What's Your Point of View on Race in Social Science?
Roxanne Jones: One of the things you're critiquing is the way that race gets used in sort of typical social science studies. Could you say a little more about your perspective on the way that conventionally social science talks about race? Jones: I tried, in my first book toward the global idea of race, which is to excavate the conditions of medicine and production. And finally, after 20 years, almost, I figured a way of describing it in a shorter form.
