The History of Dracula

There's no doubt that this bloke got up to some pretty horrific business in his time, but it's very difficult to determine what is legitimately true and what has been embellished or exaggerated. The printing press meant that these stories went far and wide throughout the German-speaking regions of Europe. It may have been coloured by a fair bit of bias here. If we jump forward 400 years here with idiots conflating stuff from Bram Stoker's entirely fictional novel with actual history, despite it being published as I say hundreds of years later. He didn't seem to have done too much research about it, he didn't even know about, sorry, about this situation with Dracula.
