Women's risk of cardiovascular disease is lower than men until menopause, right? And then it catches up. One in three women will die of a cardiovascular related event in our population. Women who undergo menopause at around 45 compared to 50 have a 30% increase in their likelihood of developing dementia before the age of 65.
