Can CBDC Be Used for Economical Purposes?
If they have a CBDC, which we started seeing that language come out in some of these steamy bills that came out in 2020, maybe it's a tool where they can inject liquidity directly into the market. But under the wrong hands, it could also be used to silence dissent or punish your enemy. So, ultimately, it depends on how much confidence you have in the system. In the US, we have a tradition where we don't have confidence in the system, that's why we want the system to be as weak and small as possible.
