Ihave explained my reasons in some detail there, though my key point is this, the form comes first and the content follows. If the form was different, if my show were shorter, for example, the content would be completely different. Doing long conversations, not interviews, but conversations, allows me to build a relax discursive flow that helps me to go to places i otherwise wouldn't. This also helps give contexts to whatever subject we go on to discuss.
