I'm Not Drumming. I Can't Handle Flashing.
I need something in front of my drum set that tells me to relax. The first thing that came to mind is Jason Kuhn makes these Fibonacci displays. And just connect that to a pixel plays. Oh man, you can pick whatever animation you want and they all look fantastic. I think it's going to be one of those like paint in my palette that will come up when the right ideas come up.
