The Importance of Mental Model Diagrams

Mental model diagrams are one of the more abstract types of diagrams that I talk about in the book. They're trying to look at a specific domain, a topic, and draw a picture of how people might be thinking about that aspect of their experiences. Once you have a diagram, then that allows you to have conversations with others around it or it allows you to diagnose specific aspects of it. So really, it kind of breaks things down and makes it a lot more tangible.
