The US-China Relationship Is Important to the United States
We expect the same thing to happen, whether Senator Obama or Senator McCain becomes president in January. I'm not talking about a cold war-style hostility between Beijing and Washington. That's not very likely barring some development that we haven't anticipated. The emergence of more tensions and probably more animosity is unfortunate because the Chinese relationship is very important to the United States.
