Rust has a lot of focus on web assembly. I've seen PostgreSQL being shipped in the browser via web assembly. What if I could deploy a media server in someone's browser? Like that. Maybe that's maybe a little crazy. But oh, hey, we need extra capacity for this meeting. Someone used their laptop and opened up a tab and now you've got a media server running in your browser. So I don't think it's as crazy these days.
