Destiny's Child and Budilicious on the Billboard Hot 100
This week in 2001, Destiny's Child got its fourth and so far final number one on the Billboard Hot 100 with Budilicious. The song's memorable guitar riff that repeats through the song is actually a sample of the opening guitar riff from Stevie Nix's 1982 hit Edge of 17. Fun fact, thanks to the sample, Nix got a songwriting credit on Budilicious, which gave her a second number one as a songwriter on the BillboardHot100.
