The Existential Definition of Anxiety in Psychiatry
I think i'm just wondering whether the definition of anxiety that we get in psychiatry is actually that different from the existential definition of anxiety. There' still going to be a huge impass between how they cope with anxiety, but there could be at least some shared basis. I like also the way in which bauboir contrast the world of the child, who doesn't worry about a thing in the world, with the world view of the adults,. which is that mechanical life. And she says, when you become an adult and you have responsibilities and you are basically an auto pilot, you never pause to really think about that world that anxiety opens up for you.
