Now she tries to understand the effects of law and regulation on health care. Concerns about being sued for malpractice or negligence can cause doctors to change the way they do their work - known as defensive medicine. In 20 ten, michel and a few co authors estimated that the bill for defensive medicine was around forty six billion dollars annually.
