Preterm labor is before 37 weeks of gestation and women that have a history of preterm labor are more likely to have a subsequent pre-term delivery. Steroids are given for anyone in pre term labor between viability and where's that? And 30, sure, 34 weeks is actually the new cutoff. Jackie: I think most commonly beta methazone in a fetus that may not yet have developed lung maturity can help develop that lung maturity if they can get 48 hours of steroids.
