There's a study from lovely Germany which looked at attitudes towards children and adults with ADHD. These studies highlight what is often called diminishing social attitudes or people think it ain't all that bad. So the desire for social distance away from an adult with ADHD has been shown to be higher compared to other mental illnesses like depression, schizophrenia, or alcohol dependence. We're not all about ADHD but all ADHD traits are extremes of things that people do.
