Oregon's New Laws on Transgender Birth Certificates
As of January 2nd, folks born in Oregon can change the name and sex listed on their birth certificate just by filling out a form. This new process is all private, it's way faster and more convenient, and it only costs $65. According to a recent survey, only 10% of transgender folks have proper ID that matches their gender which can make it really difficult to get work or housing.
