Why We Love War
Our basic repression is that we didn't exist to begin with. That the self wasn't actually there to begin with, and so it comes back in symbolic form as Dukkha - lack. And you know, one of the places we see this is in war. Because we project our lack externally, so it come back as a symptom or a symbol. Then, and if we have them, we can have us. We feel existentially secure, even though this is no kind of security because you have to keep it going.
