The Importance of Reading the Room
The tendency of autistic people to speak out in cases of injustice could conceivably be related to the cognitive empathy thing. They don't like being unpopular and this gets back to how hard it can be to disentangle, you know, reading the room and caring about what the room thinks. It could be that you're more inclined to speak out against injustice if you're not reading the room, right? Yeah.
