The Cost of Public Disagreement in Social Justice Politics
Sally Kohn: Social justice politics is a set of policy positions and moral precepts, like any other political movement. But one of its central tools has always been a vociferous rejection of criticism - typically enforced through bringing intense social and professional shunning to bear. How do you suggest that people face this risk? She says there's going to need to be some political discourse and some disagreement but the cost of doing that kind of public disagreement are still high. "I would just like hold my tongue until I had tenure," she said.
