How Much Water Do You Need?
In a drier climate, you're going to need more water than in a more humid climate. The rule of thumb that I've heard from more than one ear nose and throat doctor is that you want your urine to be clear. If you are not properly hydrated, this mucus will get thick and sticky like peanut butter which does not bode well for singing.
