Ina: I'm interested to know how we've seen through generations in germany, but also the generations of trama from slavery have affected african americans. These things definitely don't stop when some one either leaves a job or retires or dies. And i actually wonder how much these moral injuries suffered by those doing the dirty work are generational. Ina: The idea of dirty work in my book, i didn't come up with it. But what if we take that same set of questions to contemporary America? Whose do the dirty work here? How much of a mandate does it have from a society that kind of just doesn't want to hear too much about it
