Are the Romans Worried About Conflict of Interests?
There are no rules about this, absolutely not. Conflict of interests doesn't really have an equivalent in latin it's not a term that comesup in their legal cases. The main reason we know for people leaving the senate is that they wanted to do something which wasn't allowed in the senate. If you go too far, if you start stealing statues from the temples of the gods, you might just have trod on too many feet there. That's what i mean. It's pretty rare.
