The Quaking of the Sea
Jesus has come to break this cycle, and those who want to follow him must recognize their loyalty. The urgency with which jesus presents his call to discipleship starts to sharpen the distinction between following crowds and the committed disciples. There is only a few years before christ will die, and if he is not on board at that point, he may miss the boat. And then we'll see other forms of death as we go through.
