The Antipathy of Protestants to Mysticism
Many of Lewis's proteges ended up becoming Roman Catholics, not Anglicans. Why do you think there is such antipathy among many Protestants to mysticism? There are well-grounded fears about people claiming that they heard voices of God or saw a vision of God. Most cults and heresies begin with someone who claims they have a new revelation from God. I think in some ways Catholics and Protestants need each other.
