The Fourth Amendment is at its strongest when it's protecting people inside their own homes. The state of Texas will have to decide if this becomes something that goes beyond fast company writers and go beyond certified privacy professionals. Some jurisdictions have already tried to address this problem by requiring landlords to offer tenants physical keys in place of biometric access systems.
