What's up, everybody? Welcome. Episode 165 of the Robot Report podcast. I'm your host, Steve Crow, executive editor of the Robot Report. Thank you, folks, as always, for tuning into the program here. Really appreciate it. Join as always by my partner in crime, Mr. Mike Oitzman from the West Coast, California. What's going on, sir? How are you?

Hey, Steve. Well, you know, it's we're recording this a little bit later in the afternoon. I took some lunch. I typically do watch a little YouTube, spending the YouTube for a little entertainment while eating my sandwich and stumbled onto Zuckerberg's announcement this week of the Quest 3S headset. Pretty interesting idea. I think the amazing thing about what the meta is doing is they're going to bring this to market at under 300 bucks. I can't believe that it's.

These are AR glasses, right? And this is a little outside of my realm, but I saw this yesterday. And the thing that I immediately noticed is how sleek and small the glasses are. They just look almost like a regular pair of glasses or sunglasses compared to the bulky AR stuff that we've seen in the past. That seems to be the major innovation here.
Speaker 1
Yeah, well, so the Quest is the fully competitive Apple Vision, but the Orion AR glasses, they also demo that. They're not ready to sell those yet, but they definitely demo that's what you saw. And it's just the miniaturization that's going on here. It's pretty, pretty wild. What Matt is trying to do, you know, how useful are they going to be or whether we're going to wear, everybody's going to be wearing a pair in a decade. That's pretty interesting idea.
