Are State Schools Good for Virtue?

Before state schools were founded, the aim in the united states and elsewhere around the world was to create a virtuous person. So yes, i would say, very crudely, it went from the saving of the individual soul to the social aim of creating new citizens for a new democratic order. And now, yes, to the creation of create workers for the 20 first century economy who can promote the ch d p - though it's fair to say very few schools have lost the moral educational aim completely.
