Based on the first half of Frank Herbert's classic 1965 sci-fi novel of the same name, the film is very much a Part One and introduces audiences to a whole new world, with tons of characters and a lot of exposition. It is the big-screen event of the year, despite being available to view at home on HBO Max. What did we think of the scale and scope of it all?
