The Most Important Skill I've Learned From Chess

I think what chess really does for me is that it's trained me to not feel much when I lose. Chess has taught me again back to 10,000 out of rule, the idea that I can really achieve anything as long as I put the effort into it. And so I never, ever tried to back down from a challenge because I've had the success of putting in effort and something and being good at it at the end. With that evidence in hand, I use it to give me confidence in something else that is new that I'm taking notch by notch.
