The Ocean's Salty Balance
The salt in the water forms back into solid minerals and becomes like a tiny rock or a speck of sand. This underwater precipitation helps the ocean keep its salty balance, so it's not too salty. Some spots in the atlantic are as high as 37 parts per thousand; some areas of the pacific can be as low as 32 parts per thousand. There are lots of other things that help keep this special balance of saltiness going.
