The Art of Hilmar Affklinte, Paintings for the Future

Hilmar Affklinte, Paintings for the Future at Guggenheim is on display until January 28th. The artist died in 1944 but her work was first shown publicly in 1986 by Maurice Tuckman in Los Angeles. Tracey Emin visited the exhibition and said she was 'stunned' with how well it had been put together. She says Hilmar's work feels incredibly fresh and has really just found its moment now.
