The Pivot Slide Theory Is the Leading Theory

The two theories are kind of one is to do with, well, one suggests that the stone pivots as it's sliding along the ice. The pivot slide theory is the one that's leading in terms o producing what we see in the real world. But there's these great pretenders, this oppositional side, an who think that actually what's happening is that as the stone slides along the ice, it's scratching the ice. This is what they call scratch guiding. And i love this idea that you have thi slightly odd sport that has been played for alike, 500 years, and we still don't really know the science of it ra that fascinating.
