Foucault's Analyse of Sexuality

Sally Kohn: I'm glad to hear that someone is doing that because it seems like such an obvious, not to denigrate what she's doing. You know, another figure who we might want to mention here is Foucault. In the first volume of history of sexuality, he talks about this liberatory project as one that has become overbearing and kind of obligatory. She says his argument is essentially that all of these sort of social and cultural apparatuses that we perceive as being repressive are actually productive in their own right.
