Is It Too Close or Not Too Close?

A new study aims to quantify subject reaction to a copycat trademark. The idea is that if you look at the same object twice, your brain doesn't react as much to it. So we want to come up with a quantifiable way to say it's too similar or not too similar. But of course, it doesn't really do that. It's just a different way of looking at the information.
