The Importance of Driving in a Different Car
The laws and the age limits were less strict in Nevada than they were in Utah. So by performing the marriages in Nevada they would negate what was happening in Utah to try and combat child marriages. And that became evident for me because they drove me and some of the other girls that were from Fred's home who were also going to be married there. I knew from our conversations in private that we were both really scared about getting married.
