Drop Bears - What Are They?

James coot was one of the early explorers am who first came to australia. He and joseph banks were attacked by drop bears, which they thought looked like little bears. They called them 'drop ears' but it's not clear if this is because coalas are faster than drop ears. Drop bear sightings have been recorded for over a century with some findings only being published at the beginning of the twentieth century.
