Is Crypto a Trustless Solution?

Cypto war yourself in a glass of water while i whell i launch into the question. This gets back at the trust idea as well. And we can see some ways in which that might be useful. In a lot of ways, crypto seems more institutionalized than i would have thought ten years ago. But what do you think?
