The Deeds of Amaziah
Joash, king of Israel, and Amaziah, king of Judah, faced one another in battle at Betchamesh. Every man fled to his home when they were defeated by Israel. Joash seized all the gold in silver; he obeyed Edom with them. They sent after him to Lakshish, and slew him there. He was buried with his fathers in the city of David. Psalm 70 is prayer for deliverance from enemies: "Be pleased, O God, to deliver me"
